🎯 How to Plot a Point (x, y)

Point plot karna ek simple game jaisa hai. Imagine karo tum Origin (0,0) par khade ho.

🚶 The "Walk from Home" Method

Step 1: Start at Origin (Yahan se shuru karo).

Step 2: Look at x-coordinate (Horizontal Move)

  • Agar Positive (+) hai → Move RIGHT 👉
  • Agar Negative (-) hai → Move LEFT 👈
  • Agar Zero (0) hai → Wahi ruko (No Left/Right move).

Step 3: Look at y-coordinate (Vertical Move)

  • Agar Positive (+) hai → Move UP 👆
  • Agar Negative (-) hai → Move DOWN 👇
  • Agar Zero (0) hai → Wahi ruko (No Up/Down move).

Step 4: Mark the Point

Jahan tum finally pahuncho, wahi tumhara point hai!

📚 Examples of Plotting

1. Quadrant I Example: (3, 4)

x = +3 👉 Move 3 units RIGHT
y = +4 👆 Then, Move 4 units UP
(3, 4)

Ye point Quadrant I mein hoga.

2. Quadrant II Example: (-2, 5)

x = -2 👈 Move 2 units LEFT
y = +5 👆 Then, Move 5 units UP
(-2, 5)

Ye point Quadrant II mein hoga.

3. Quadrant III Example: (-5, -3)

x = -5 👈 Move 5 units LEFT
y = -3 👇 Then, Move 3 units DOWN
(-5, -3)

Ye point Quadrant III mein hoga.

4. Quadrant IV Example: (6, -2)

x = +6 👉 Move 6 units RIGHT
y = -2 👇 Then, Move 2 units DOWN
(6, -2)

Ye point Quadrant IV mein hoga.

🛑 Points on the Axes (Zero Wale Points)

Students sabse zyada galti tab karte hain jab coordinates mein 0 aajata hai. Chalo isse clear karte hain.

Case A: Point on X-Axis (4, 0)

x = +4 👉 Move 4 units RIGHT
y = 0 🛑 Stop! (No Up/Down move)
(4, 0)

Ye point directly X-Axis line ke upar hoga.

Case B: Point on Y-Axis (0, -3)

x = 0 🛑 Stop! (Start from Origin, don't go Left/Right)
y = -3 👇 Move 3 units DOWN on the line itself
(0, -3)

Ye point directly Y-Axis line ke upar hoga.
