Yaani, 1 Joule kaam tab hota hai jab 1 Newton ki force kisi object ko uski direction mein 1 metre hila de. Joule ka naam vaigyanik James Prescott Joule ke naam par rakha gaya hai.

Ek mazdoor 200 N ke bag ko 15 m tak dhakelta hai. Kitna kaam hua?

Kaam sirf ek number nahi hai - uska chinh (sign) bhi hota hai. Ye is baat par depend karta hai ki force aur displacement ek direction mein hain ya ulti direction mein.

1. Positive Work (+)

Jab force aur displacement ek hi direction mein hon. Force object ki speed badhane ya usse aage le jaane mein madad karti hai.

2. Negative Work (āˆ’)
