Har Mixture Solution Nahi Hota 🥛
True solution (jaise namak-paani) mein particles itne chhote hote hain ki dikhte nahi aur kabhi settle nahi hote. Lekin sab mixtures aise nahi hote. Doodh (milk), mitti-paani (muddy water), dhundh (fog), jelly - ye alag tarah ke mixtures hain. Particle ke size ke hisaab se mixtures teen tarah ke hote hain: True Solution, Colloid, aur Suspension. 🌫️ Suspension (Nilambana)
Suspension ek heterogeneous mixture hai jisme solute ke particles bade hote hain (itne bade ki dikhte hain) aur ghulte nahi - bas paani mein latke (suspended) rehte hain. Iski khaas nishaaniyan:
- Particle size bada (1000 nm se bhi bada) - nangi aankh se dikhte hain.
- Mixture opaque (dhundhla) hota hai - light aar-paar nahi nikalti.
- Rakhne par particles neeche baith (settle) jaate hain.
- Filter paper se guzaarne par particles alag ho jaate hain (paper par ruk jaate).
- Light ka path scatter karke dikhaata hai (Tyndall dikhata hai).
Examples: Mitti-paani (muddy water), chalk-paani, haldi-paani, paint (istemaal se pehle hilaana padta hai), aata-paani.
Kai syrup/dawaiyon ki bottle par likha hota hai "shake well before use" (istemaal se pehle hilaayein). Kyunki wo ek suspension hain - dawa ke particles neeche baith jaate hain, isliye hilaakar unhe wapas mix karna padta hai, taaki har khuraak (dose) mein barabar dawa mile.
🥛 Colloid (Kolloid)
Colloid ek aisa mixture hai jo dikhne mein homogeneous lagta hai (saaf, mila hua) lekin asal mein heterogeneous hota hai - iske particles solution se bade par suspension se chhote hote hain. Ye "beech ka" (in-between) mixture hai. Khaas baatein:
- Particle size madhyam (1 nm se 1000 nm) - nangi aankh se nahi dikhte.
- Particles settle nahi hote (stable rehta hai).
- Ordinary filter paper se alag nahi hote (particles chhote hain).
- Tyndall effect dikhaata hai - light ka path saaf dikhta hai (ye colloid ki sabse badi pehchaan hai!).
Colloid ke do parts hote hain:

Dispersed phase aur medium ke state (solid/liquid/gas) ke hisaab se colloids ke alag naam hote hain. Ye table bahut kaam ka hai:

Doodh (milk) ek emulsion hai - ismein fat (chikni) ki chhoti boondein paani mein phaili hoti hain. Isi liye doodh saaf (transparent) nahi, doodhiya (milky/opaque) dikhta hai. Butter, cream, paneer - ye sab doodh ke colloid parts se bante hain!
🔦 Tyndall Effect - Light Ka Raasta
Jab light ki ek beam kisi colloid (ya suspension) se guzarti hai, toh uske chhote particles light ko scatter (bikher) dete hain, jisse light ka poora raasta (path) saaf dikhaayi deta hai. Isi ko Tyndall Effect kehte hain (John Tyndall ke naam par).
Ek true solution mein particles itne chhote hote hain ki wo light scatter nahi karte - isliye solution mein light ka path nahi dikhta. Yahi Tyndall effect solution aur colloid mein farak karne ka sabse aasaan tareeka hai!

Brownian Motion
Colloid ke particles lagataar zig-zag (tedhi-medhi) random motion karte rehte hain - kyunki medium ke molecules unse takraate rehte hain. Isi motion ki wajah se colloid ke particles kabhi neeche settle nahi hote - colloid stable rehta hai. Ise Robert Brown ne khoja tha.
Coagulation (Jamna)
Jab colloid ke particles aapas mein chipak kar bade ho jaate hain aur settle ho jaate hain, use coagulation kehte hain. Examples: doodh se dahi/paneer banna, aur paani saaf karne ke liye phitkari (alum) daalna (jisse mitti ke particles jam kar neeche baith jaate hain).
