Plant Ki "Growth Factory" ๐Ÿญ

Kabhi socha hai ki ped kaise badhta hai? Aap toh poore body se badhte ho, lekin plant sirf kuch khaas jagahon se badhta hai. In khaas jagahon par ek special tissue hota hai jiske cells hamesha divide hote rehte hain โ€” ise Meristematic Tissue (meristem) kehte hain. Word "meristem" Greek word "merizein" se aaya hai, jiska matlab hai "divide karna".

Meristem ko ek factory samjho jahan lagataar naye "baby cells" bante rehte hain. Ye baby cells pehle divide hote hain, phir bade hokar (aur badalkar) plant ke doosre tissues ban jaate hain. Yaani har naya tissue meristem se hi shuru hota hai!

Tips par

1. Apical Meristem

Root aur shoot ke sabse aage wale hisse (tips) par. Ye plant ki lambai (length/height) badhata hai. Isi wajah se ped uupar ki taraf aur jadein neeche ki taraf badhti hain. Ise primary growth kehte hain.

Side par

2. Lateral Meristem (Cambium)

Stem aur root ke side (baglon) mein. Ye plant ki motai/chaudai (girth/thickness) badhata hai. Isi wajah se ped ka tana (trunk) mota hota jaata hai. Ise secondary growth kehte hain.

Beech mein

3. Intercalary Meristem

Pattiyon (leaves) ke base par ya nodes ke beech mein. Ye ghaas (grass) aur ganne (sugarcane) jaise plants mein hota hai. Isi wajah se ghaas kaatne ke baad phir se ug aati hai!
